WordPress WooCommerce Plugin
We’ve created a WordPress plugin for our e-learning customers who operate a WordPress website with WooCommerce. This means that, through using web services, your customers can access a Highfield e-learning course through your website.
What does the Highfield WordPress plugin do?
It offers your customers a quick, simple, cost-effective and seamless transition from your website to the Highfield LMS (ask us about our LMS branding options for a truly seamless user experience) and also means that learners can purchase Highfield e-learning courses through your website.
The workflow is designed for low volume or individual sales. For distribution of bulk licences the implementation of our web services are recommended instead. Please get in touch for further information.
How does the Highfield WordPress plugin work?
If you wish to use our WordPress plugin you can download the plugin below. You then simply ‘plugin’ to your existing WooCommerce website.
- Install and set up the Highfield plugin
- Add/edit a WooCommerce product
- Select the relevant e-learning course under the ‘Highfield API Course’ settings tab
- Upon a successful and 'Completed' order purchase (rather than 'Pending' - WooCommerce default settings) the learners will be automatically added to the Highfield LMS.
* Please note - the plugin is not compatible with 'Buy Now' options (including PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay) as the checkout process is an integral part of the enrolment process.
What will my customers see?
Your customers will be directed to our LMS, which by default is branded as Highfield e-learning. From here your customers will access their online courses. If you’d prefer your learners to have a truly seamless transition from your website to the LMS, we can create a bespoke login portal and branded LMS, featuring your company’s logo and colours.
Learners that are enrolled on to a course will automatically be provided with their login credentials via e-mail. Please note this does not apply to our test system for security reasons.
What does it cost?
The plugin is free.
Customer support
If you experience any problems downloading the zip file, please contact us on 01302 363277 and we will provide the files via a different delivery method.
Plugin vs. standard web services
The plugin has been designed to seamlessly integrate with your existing WordPress site for low volume purchases, however if you require something a little more bespoke have no fear. Our standard web services offer much more flexibility and can be integrated in to almost any website!

How do web services work?
We issue resellers with API authentication - this enables resellers to make one system communicate with another via web services.
What would API do?
The API once set up will provide the resller with functionality to provide courses to their customers. Learners can then be managed via the Highfield LMS and resellers will be billed for usage at a pre-set rate on a monthly basis.
What does it cost?
An information support pack for setting up API is currently free from Highfield. Licence packages including complementary branding start at £1,000+VAT.
What does it look like?
We have branding options available - the LMS could show your company logo and theme and a personalised login portal. We can also add your logo to the certificates and an enrolment email. Licence packages including complementary branding start at £1,000+VAT.
Branding and customisation
Customer service has always been at the heart of everything that we do at Highfield. Highfield e-learning is no different and so, as part of this, we have created a flexible, customisable Learning Management System (LMS). We understand that not all businesses require the same services and we strive to fulfill the requirements of each individual customer.
The Highfield LMS offers the capability to add corporate branding to the login portal for your company. This means that users from your company will see your corporate branding and colours. This offers the benefit of owning a company LMS but without development or management costs.
Branding options:
- LMS branding - the use of company logos and colours on the LMS. Each of your users will be greeted by a corporate area for access to courses, reports and certificates. Licence packages including complementary branding start at £1,000+VAT.
- Branding of training content - company logos and colours used on the course shell. If this option is selected then the branded LMS will be included at no additional charge.
- Customisation of training content - New illustrations, photographs, wording changes etc. Each job will be priced based on the requirements. Please get in touch to discuss yours.
- Complete bespoke training courses - Complete courses designed and built just for you. See bespoke courses.

Want your own online shop / e-commerce system?
What is an e-commerce set up?
If you have an existing website but no e-commerce functionality, Highfield can provide a link (this can be embedded in to an iFrame within your website if desired) to the Highfield e-commerce landing page with custom price breaks available to you.
How does it work?
Highfield take payment from the customer when they order via the partially branded landing page and return the fee, minus Highfield’s pre-agreed licence cost, to you.
What does it cost?
The cost of development for this option is £1,500+VAT including bespoke LMS branding. We can have this available for you in a short 7-10day time frame. The development required on your website is minimal.
Looking to resell our e-learning?
In addition to purchasing course licences from us, you may also wish to become a reseller of our courses to enhance the services you offer your customers.
Whether you’re a training provider, college or local authority, as a Highfield e-learning reseller you’ll be able to allocate user-licences with ease to your customers using our learning management system (LMS). Our LMS will allow you to make our courses available to your customers and they can also feature your branding every time they log in (should you wish to add this feature to your reseller package).
In addition to this, you’ll also be able to offer your customers the following as part of your service to them.
- Their own branded online learning management system – this will be available via a unique web address and can feature their company’s logo with a colour scheme that matches their branding. All the learners of your customer will be able to access their courses directly through this system.
- Their own branded e-learning certificates – when their learners print out their certificate upon completion of their course, this certificate can feature the branding of your customer. We have found this to be a huge selling point for resellers.
As a reseller you will be given the option of either purchasing learner licences from Highfield e-learning in advance of courses taking place or once you have received an order from a customer. Our team is more than happy to discuss both of these options with you. As a reseller you will also have complete control of the final price that you charge your customers for course licences.
Please note, that while Highfield’s e-learning courses can be used as a stand-alone delivery platform, you can also use them as part of a blended-learning delivery solution, alongside training materials available from Highfield International and qualifications available from Highfield Qualifications (if you are an approved centre).
If you would like to discuss our available reseller packages further, please contact our team on 0845 2260350/01302 363277 or email them at info@highfieldelearning.com.
Using your own Learning Management System?
What is SCORM?
For courses to sit on your own Learner Management System, we would provide a SCORM package.
The SCORM package is a zip file which contains all of the fields needed to run the e-learning, which is then installed onto your system.
How does it work?
The SCORM package is completely bespoke and we would provide a quote per course based on the number of learners who will be taking the course per annum and payment for using the SCORM is yearly.
How many licences do I need to purchase?
A minimum licence commitment of 500 licences per annum generally applies.
What’s included?
General minor support on configuration will be provided as part of the quote however, if your e-learning system was to prove unsuitable, a charge may be put in place to cover any additional support installing the programme. We would also include branding of the course (logo & colour scheme) to give the course a corporate feel.
Highfield will require yearly access to verify how many learners have used the course. Within the contract there will be a system compatibility and acceptance process which includes a maximum of 3 days’ development work completed off site by our development team to ensure seamless implementation.
