Changing a learner’s password | Highfield e-learning

Changing a learner’s password

To reset a learner’s password, you will need to log in as an administrator.

Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Learners’ tab towards the top of the screen and select the ‘Manage learners’ button from the dropdown list.

To locate the learner that you you’re looking for, either search the list of learners, or you can use the filter options to filter by name, username or email address, and select ‘Add filters’

Once you have located the learner, select the ‘Change Password’ icon from the ‘options’ column. By default, ‘Auto-generate’ will be selected along with the ‘Force password change’ option, which when enabled, will force the learner to enter their own password once logged in. However, if you want to set the learner’s password manually, select ‘manually generate’ which will allow you to enter a custom password for that learner.

We suggest you use a secure password like this example, we also recommend you do not use this example.

Once you have entered the password or selected the ‘Auto generate’ button click change. You will then be shown the password, if you are happy with the change click close. Now the learner will be able to log in with the new password.
